LegalSounds Review
Site Design
LegalSounds is the cheapest site I have found so far, at just 9¢ a song! The site is tiny, but has a very fun design! They make it easy for 1st time users to get onto the site and start downloading mp3s as soon as possible, with their four-step plan on the homepage.
Up-To-Date?
LegalSounds list up-to-date Charts, World Bestsellers, Hot Releases, Just Added Albums and Most Downloaded Albums, so there is always something to catch your eye.
Music Selection
LegalSounds have over 2,135,000 tracks in their mp3 library, so more than enough to keep you occupied!
Sign-Up
Signing up with LegalSounds is quick and easy, they do not ask too many questions and it is all very secure. After you have registered, you will receive the US Top 40 singles to your account. You will also get this everyday, you just need to log in and claim it!
Top-Up
Of course, with every good thing, there is a catch. The songs may be 9¢ each, but you need to top-up your account with a minimum of $25.00, which is quite a bit higher than other sites. The good thing about this is you will never need to think about funding for your mp3s again as this much credit will probably last you quite a while!
Payments
Adding money to your account is easy, they accept Visa, MasterCard, uKash or PaySafe. I hope they start taking PayPal soon like other sites, but for now, it’s not like we are stuck for choice!
Offers
LegalSounds offer you little bonuses when you top up with them. Top up $39.00 to get 50 free songs, top up $50.00 to get 80 free songs, top up $100.00 to get 200 free songs or top up $200.00 to get 2000 free songs.
My Opinion
I love LegalSounds, the minimum top-up amount does put me off a little bit, but i know how long it will last me so it’s ok. I love that the songs are so cheap, not quite sure how they do it, but it rocks! I like the homepage, the colours are a bit weird, but it works. I like the fact you can get ideas from the homepage; songs you’ve heard on the radio but didn’t know the name of or you had forgotten about are there to remind you.
